Summerfields West Sells Itself
SUMMERFIELDS WEST SELLS ITSELF
TO DISCERNING LOCAL COUPLE
WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ—In their quest to downsize from a large, 5-bedroom house and sprawling, labor-intensive property in Camden County, Tony and Kim Scalise looked, looked, and looked some more, at just about every 55+ community they could find in the area; not an uncommon practice among South Jersey active adults who want a care-free new lifestyle in a location that is convenient to their children. But what made the Scalise’s home search so unusual, is the number of times they would return to the Summerfields West community in Williamstown, where more savvy homebuyers who have done their “homework” are finding more compelling reasons to choose this one-of-a-kind neighborhood.
“Our search began back in 2016 when we were checking out all the other active adult neighborhoods in the area as well as the non-age-restricted developments, since we are only in our 50’s, and kept coming back to Summerfields West for another look,” recalled Kim. “The more communities we looked at, the more we would return to Summerfields West, each time discovering another aspect of the neighborhood that we treasured. We finally realized that this was the place for us. Incredibly, the price was so affordable, we were able to purchase all new furniture for our Meadow model home and avoid the hassle of trying to fit our old furniture into our new home. We moved in to Summerfields West last October, and are we ever happy we did. Life just couldn’t be better!”
The couple chose the spacious, 2-bedroom, 2-bath Meadow home design, one of the most popular and impeccably planned of the 5 standard home styles available at Summerfields West. The house came with some “built-in” upgrades, including a space-enhancing 4-foot extension to the living and dining rooms plus an ultra-comfortable 6’x 28’ front porch. As a value-added customer service, the developer of Summerfields West offers a variety of customization options and upgrades on every available home design.
The location of Summerfields West proved particularly beneficial to Tony and Kim, their familiarity and love of the area notwithstanding, as Kim explained. “Tony still works at his job as a field supervisor whose territory stretches from Monmouth County to Cape May County, making Summerfields West’s close proximity to the Garden State Parkway and Atlantic City Expressway the perfect location for him to continue in his career,” she said. “But what I really love is that Tony is able to just relax and unwind when he gets home, without having a big property to tend to or other home maintenance issues, providing us with much more time together. There is virtually no home maintenance to worry about or back-breaking snow shoveling in the winter weather. Even something as simple as being able to sit on our big front porch having coffee together has become something very special to Tony and me.”
In purchasing the Meadow—or any other home style available at the community—homeowners enjoy single-level living at its best. “We absolutely love our open floor plan and every part of the house, the roominess, the convenience, the big bathrooms.” Kim stated. “Being on one level, especially as opposed to our old house, means that we will be able to age in place while still having the space capacity for entertaining friends and welcoming our family, who live nearby. “We always have a big Christmas Eve party and this past year was no exception. We invited some of our new Summerfields West neighbors along with our friends and everyone had a great time. Our Meadow home design is perfect for entertaining, everyday living and just relaxing.”
Like other Summerfields West residents, Tony and Kim have grown to appreciate the peace and quiet of this tranquil, Pine Barrens setting. “It took some getting used to it being so quiet here,” Kim said. “We lived on a busy street and now, rather than hearing trucks and school buses going by, we hear birds chirping and squirrels scurrying. There is a very high level of comfort and feeling of safety here, as well. Tony still mentions that when he comes home at night, he feels like he’s on vacation. And I can’t say enough about how warm and friendly all of our neighbors are—one big reason we chose Summerfields West. We are looking forward to relaxing by the planned community clubhouse and pool with each other and our neighbors.” Summerfields West homeowners currently congregate at the onsite Community Recreation Center.
It is worth noting that most home purchasers who decide on Summerfields West do so after only a few visits. As for the Scalises, it was only a matter of time before they fell in love with the wonderful home, the incomparable value and the desirable lifestyle so many more prospective home buyers are searching for.
